“We envision mental health care to be accessible to all individuals and communities, especially right now, amidst the pandemic, when the accessibility to resources is increasingly threantened”
Overview of the project
The global outbreak of COVID-19 ensued strict lockdowns, social distancing, mass loss of employment / jobs, and communities forced into leaving their homes and migrating.
All these factors since the outbreak of the virus have led to a disruption of our normal lives contributing to our disturbed mental health.

We understand the difficulties in seeking threapy and other psychosocial support due to the lack of resources available. MiHOPE connects anyone in search of psychosocial support with a team of Volunteers who are trained in psychiatry or counselling without any charges or fee. These services are made available using the internet portal of MiHOPE.
Our telecounseling and telepsychiatry services are provided by qualified, trained, and experienced psychotherapists and counsellors, and psychiatrists respectively. Each session, for which the individual registers on the portal, is provided as per the convenience of the individual.
The portal can be accessed using multiple devices and provides options for chat and video calls alike. In addition to therapeutic services, MiHOPE also hosts several well-being resources on the portal.
From its induction as a pandemic project on 31st March 2020 to its official launch as a National Online Support Portal on 4th October 2020, MiHOPE has been able to assist more than 200 clients so far.
