Rashi Arora

Rashi Arora A certified Expressive Arts based Therapist. Currently working as a Research Assistant at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Associated with Mental Health Foundation, India since 2020. Previously worked as a Project Coordinator at Sangath for 3 different projects.

She Has bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from Lady Shri Ram college, Delhi University in 2013 and Master of Arts in Psychology from Ambedkar University Delhi in 2015. Since then, has worked with diverse range of areas that include planning, executing and evaluating intervention-based programs, conducting qualitative and quantitative research and working with technology-based solutions for the betterment of mental health in India.

Are you mentally sound? Has it ever occurred to you that your thinking, feeling, mood, behaviour or actions are at odds with your usual old self? You may not be able to spot these aberrations. These are the warning signs of mental illness which may include, but aren’t limited to, common symptoms like esoteric phobias, intense depression, unreasonable anxiety to specific disorders like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. To confound your understanding before the realisation dawn on you, many a time, you may experience periods of physical, mental, and social well-being despite a clinical diagnosis of mental illness. A lack of understanding or misconception about mental health problems can discourage people from getting needed treatment. Here comes to role of Mansik Swasthya Patrika, the first of its kind concerted endeavour to unravel the common man's mystery about mental health which is the most ignored and miscontrued health subject, specifically in the cow-belt of India. On one hand, mental health issues are looked down upon as taboos some even considering it insanity and/or paranormal repercussions, on the other, there is blissful ignorance about various mental diseases and symptoms. Mansik Swasthya Patrika is a mission to scotch the fallacy and raise awareness about mental health. Mansik Swasthya Patrika takes pride in being a unique e-magazine as no other Hindi journal on mental health has such wide spectrum of subjects on the table. Mansik Swasthya Patrika is a platform where the readers can be writers by getting the floor to vocalise their stories and evolve it as a candid and animated discussion forum. Welcome aboard.

Dr Binod Kumar is retired Professor of Behavioural Science of IIM Kolkata. He is renowned Behaviour Scientist of Asia region and well-known personality in area of Academics. He was Regional Chaiman NCTE Govt of India. He also served as an Assistant Professor to Illinois University DeKalb USA. His services as President MHF are remarkable.
