Dr. Sujata Minhas

Project Head

Dr. Sujata Minhas is a Change Maker Researcher, a prominent Psychologist, and a Psychotherapist with over 20 years of expertise. She has been proactively providing accessible mental health services to all, and she has been awarded with the Pranam Bharti Utkrisht Seva Samman, 2020 in appreciation of her commitment to the field of mental health. She considers mental wellbeing to be a necessity rather than a luxury.

A comprehensive program initiated to held students understand the different fields within psychology and build a skillset essential to being a mental health professional.

Internship Includes

Learning basic counselling skills and working on the SELF

Sessions from experts in diverse fields such as addiction, behavioural sciences, psychotherapy, alternate healing.

Culminates with training into writing a research project.

In 2020, when the world was forced to pause owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, we at MHF(I) kept our engines running. We started an online internship program that also taught students the skills required for tele-counselling and focused emphatically on self-care.

Learnings and insights gained from the theory sessions of the internship are applied within different projects running under the organisation

For the duration of 1 month interns are placed as volunteers within different settings to observe and learn. These settings include the community project, Tihar Prison, Helpage India and most recently MiHOPE.

The internship program concludes with a grand farewell for all the interns where they share their experiences and learnings with the group.
