“AT KIRTI NAGAR & RACE COURSE”
For three consecutive years, we worked in the slums of Kirti Nagar, New Delhi executing one of its kind initiatives of taking mental health services to the doorstep of people from low socio-economic background. As part of the project, we adopted a community of 6,000 residents and organized various, Public Awareness Programs, Patient Registration Drives, Mental Health Camps and Follow Up Visits. The project received immense positive response from all the sections of the society and was extremely effective in providing free or discounted mental health intervention at the ground level. In 2017, we adopted another community at Vivekananda Camps, Race Course, New Delhi for a research based mental health intervention. The project is being modified according to the needs of the residents and inputs from our experts & volunteers. The project aims to introduce some new interventions for the betterment of the people living in the community.
